After rough 1st Quarter, Revenues up for 2013

Kevin P. Hilchey, President of Lodging Host Hotel Corp (LHHC), today announced that company room sales revenues, in same location sales, were up again in July and are positive Year to Date.  At the end of the first quarter LHHC reported same location sales down from the prior year.  That trend seems to have completely reversed itself in the 2nd quarter and is continuing into the 3rd quarter of 2013 according to company officials.

According to information released by the company today, “For the month of July, as a company, we beat last year by 7.1%. Our Occupancy was up 8.2 points but in July our Average Daily Rate (ADR) was down $2.28 from last year.

For the year we are now 3.4% ahead of last year.  At the end of the first quarter of 2013 we were 3.4% behind last year. Year to date our overall Occupancy is up 3 points and our ADR is down $.56 from last year.”

Company officials report that the trend is continuing into August and that the company, based on sales and business backlogs, expects to have “record August results” in several of it’s individual locations.
