Lodging Host Hotel Corporation launched our semi-annual Lock In earlier this week and we had representatives from each of our seven properties in attendance. Plantation Suites in Port Aransas, TX was our gracious host. Lodging Host was able to make use of Plantation’s board room, luxurious facilities, & close proximity to the beach & area activities.

This year’s lock in was an overwhelming success. In addition to going over company policy & meeting with new partners, Lodging Host enjoyed the sites and made full use of the comfort and amenities that Plantation Suites had to offer. We would like to thank all of our properties for making this a successful Lock In as we made plans for a wonderful remainder of the year!

Today, Lodging Host would like to recognize Ana Vergara as a star employee. Ana has been a loyal member of the La Porte Comfort Suites family for almost six years.

Ana was cleaning a vacant room when she found a wallet. Ana immediately brought the misplaced property to the attention of Cathy Montreuil, the La Porte Comfort Suites General Manager. After calling and informing the guest, he arrived forty-five minutes later to gratefully claim his wallet and be on his way. Soon after, the guest returned and asked Cathy to give Ana a piece of paper to express his gratitude. When Ana opened the note she realized it was in fact a money order for $160!

All of us at Lodging Host & Comfort Suites are proud to have Ana exemplify the dedication, loyalty, and virtue that this company represents. Thank you Ana!

Residence Inn by Marriott never disappoints, and this location is no exception. The room was perfectly appointed for a weekend stay or a two weeks away from home. The kitchen had the right appliances, dinnerware, and utensils for a family of 4 if needed, and it was all VERY CLEAN –like new, even. The free breakfast was all you could ask for, and the staff was very pleasant at every encounter.

“Ease of access in Albuquerque”

Not only is the Residence Inn close to the Airport there are eating establishments with in walking distance and there is ease of access to the bus system. The shuttle bus is easily accessible for transportation to the university or downtown. The hotel van is available for pickup and drop-off on a as required basis. Must call upon arrival and can anticipate about a 5-10 min wait. Free breakfast is average. Rooms are typical Residence Inn quality. Of the 4 Marriott properties within a two block area this is my first choice.

“Great Stay as Always”

We had the pleasure of staying in one of the Condo suites & very much enjoyed it. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living area, 2 bathrooms and a personal balcony, fully furnished. Most comfortable beds and blankets. Definitely gave us the feeling of home. With 3 teens & a baby with us it sure made our stay easy & comfortable. Hospitality was great. Everything clean.
Thank you so much for a great stay. We will be staying again.

“Excellent All The Way Around”

In the past few days, I have stayed at Residence Inns in Albuquerque, Oklahoma City (Bricktown), and Cool Springs, Tennessee (about 15 miles south of Nashville). Each one was nicer than the next. I usually choose Fairfield Inns because they are cheaper. But, I got good rates at these Residence Inns so I chose them. I     consider all 3 of them to be in the “luxury” category. My review of all hotels will be very similar.

This is the second or third time I have stayed in this Residence Inn in Albuquerque. It’s great. The location is near the airport, but downtown Albuquerque isn’t far away (not within walking distance, though). The girl at the front desk was very pleasant and welcoming, even giving me directions of where to go to get some gas. I like nice people.

I got a 2 bedroom suite that was beautiful. VERY comfy bed with nice, clean linens. There is a bathroom in each of the bedrooms – lots of clean towels, and the bathrooms were spotless. Like all other Residence Inns, there is a full kitchen (including stove top AND oven in this particular hotel), dishwasher, microwave, full frig, ice-maker, etc. There were 3 TV’s – one in each bedroom, and one in the living room.

They do something nice at Residence Inns – on certain evenings, they have full meals for the guests (complimentary). This day it was hamburgers and hot dogs. I think that is a nice perk. It’s great if you are on a budget and don’t want to spring for dinner out.

The breakfast at Residence Inns is always good. It’s always a full buffet, complete with eggs, meats, sometimes biscuits or pancakes, a waffle maker, as well as all the continental stuff like English muffins, bagels, cereals, etc. The coffee is always excellent.

Plenty of free parking and great, speedy, WiFi. There is also a big coin laundry room on the first floor; there are about 5 washers and about 8 or so dryers – that’s very nice. Nice gym too – not that I use it!

Room Tip: I’ve stayed here 3 times and always had a good room.

5 of 5 starsReviewed October 14, 2012 Trip Advisor –Grandmothersfootsteps

Our flight was delayed, we were exhausted from being in the airport for 12 hours, waiting for news of our plane, and our airline sent us to the Residence Inn after they re-booked us on a flight for the next day. We had a most beautiful room with a very comfortable king size bed, a music machine, nice furniture, a kitchen, beautiful bathroom and sink & vanity area, extremely quiet. There were nice gardens around the inn and a swimming pool, fitness room, etc. This is not the kind of place we can usually afford to stay at, so we felt really spoiled! The worst thing was having to be up early the next morning, instead of more time to enjoy this great place, and of course we had to miss breakfast.

Room Tip: The 4th floor was great, no noise from above, and easy elevators.

“Would Stay Here Anytime”

From the clean spacious rooms, numerous amenities and helpful staff, this has been a fantastic stay. My mother uses a wheelchair to get around and the shower was magic, it made getting her ready so easy. The convenience of a full breakfast in the morning is great not to mention dinner one of the nights we stayed. This place is family and pet friendly but would also be perfect for the quick business trip or weekend getaway. I would recommend this Residence Inn to anybody and would definitely stay here again!

August Revenues show an Uptick

Posted on September 4th, 2012 in Albuquerque NM, Alexandria VA, Farmington NM, La Porte TX, Las Cruces NM, Lodging Host, Marshall TX, Port Aransas TX, Silver City NM | No Comments »

Charlotte Hilchey, Controller for Lodging Host Hotel Corp, today released hotel revenue performance numbers for the company for the Month of August.  The month of August showed a 2.3% increase in RevPar from 2011 to 2012 for it portfolio of managed hotels.  RevPar, Revenue per Available Room, is the hotel industry standard for Revenue performance.

The increases were in occupancy percentage with a 2.8% growth in occupancy year over year and a less than .75% decline in the August Average Daily Rate (ADR) for the month.  This is a reverse of the company trend of 2012 thus far that have showed a slight increase in ADR and small decrease in occupancy.

Lodging Host Hotel Corp management properties showed substantial growth in RevPar in 2011 that has slowed in 2012 somewhat.  More importantly though, in the markets where they compete, Lodging Host Hotel Corp managed properties showed growth in RevPar yields in 2011 and year to date through July of 2012.  This means that Lodging Host Hotel Corp properties continue to gain market share against their competitors.

Lodging Host Hotel Corp has been in business since 1984 providing hotel management services to investors and institutions through out the United States.  The company currently manages hotels in Texas, New Mexico and the Washington DC are of Northern Virginia.
