LIVINGSTON, TX (May 2007) - The 39th Alabama-Coushatta Tribe Powwow will be held Friday June 1 & Saturday June 2, 2007.  The first weekend in June at the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation near Livingston Texas American Indians from across the country will gather in their finest regalia to dance, sing, drum and reunite. Nestled deep in the Big Thicket of East Texas lies Texas’ oldest Indian Reservation.  Approximately 500 Alabama-Coushatta tribal members call these 4,600 acres of timberland their home.
