Employees, clients and guests came out to the Residence Inn Albuquerque Airport on Monday night for a special holiday celebration!

Party attendees were able to check out the hotel’s holiday decorations including a 12 foot tree, stockings for each employee and ornaments provided by the Kirtland Elementary 2nd and 3rd grade Art Class. Night Auditor, Sam Willis, provided an outstanding rendition of “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” and Santa even made an appearance!

The staff is really friendly. Check in was fast and efficient, much needed after a long drive. The Flat panel TVs are a really nice touch and the rooms just beautiful. Breakfast was better than expected and I got good directions to the closestjgd Walmart and good service all around. I will stay there next time I have to fly out of Albuquerque, If they have rooms!

My husband and I stayed here for a night before we traveled on to Santa Fe. We stayed in a one room suite which was very nicely appointed with great details, very roomy and wonderful staff. I would certainly recommend staying here for short trips. Not sure on location as far as Albuquerque but for a night or two this is great!

October 3rd, 2009Let Them Eat Cake!

The staff of the Residence Inn Albuquerque Airport was surprised and excited to have a beautiful and delicious sheet cake delivered to them on Wednesday.  After playing host, home, and family to William V. and his wife for the past two months, the day before the couple checked out they treated everyone to a lovely and unexpected surprise.  Janet Glynn the General Manager said “I could not be more proud of every one of this awesome staff.  I have been pulled aside by 3 different guests this week alone to be told how gracious, friendly, and helpful that every staff member they have encounted is.”

Great job everyone and keep it up!

June 2nd, 2009Wonderful New Facility!

Recent guest Don Preston wrote the following:

“This is a wonderful new facility. Little improvements have moved it to the top of my list. Comfortable furniture, good lighting, a good work place, tall toilets, good food etc. Excellent job on the food serving area! Very professional and useable. Nice BBQ patio. Beautiful pool. Overall a 10+. The best facility of the 8 or so we used on this vacation. Everyone we were in contact with was outstanding!”

Good job to all the outstanding empployees!

Mr. Mark Moore stayed at Residence Inn Albuquerque Airport on May 22, 2009 and commented on the following:

“Kaycie Jo’s cheerful personality made for a perfect start to the morning and her welcoming smile a great greeting at the end of a long day… Not to mention her attentive can-do attitude. She is a real treasure!”

Sometimes a smile is all it takes.

WAY TO GO KAYCIE JO!!!

May 22nd, 2009I was truly astonished.

Janet Glynn, the General Manager at the Residence Inn Albuquerque Airport received the following letter from a recent guest:

“My wife and I recently stayed at the Residence Inn.  I want to assure you that our stay was altogether enjoyable;  the facility is excellent, the service was fine, and the general atmosphere most congenial.

I want to particularly commend two of your staff members.  Marshall Sanchez went out of his way — way out of his way — on at least two occasions to help us.  He found me looking for a parking space in the evenings of both Monday and Tuesday.  He signaled me to follow him, whereupon he took his own car out of a well-lighted and secure spot and turned it over to me.  He did that on both nights.  I was truly astonished.  I couldn’t imagine that any hotel staff member would go that far for a guest.  In addition, on Tuesday night, Mrs. Sayre and I were looking for a good restaurant.  Marshall, again, went to great lengths to give us friendly advice and directions.

I also want to commend Janeyee Schells.  She was so pleasant and cordial at our reception, and she was most parient in answering several questions throughout our stay.  Her helpful manners and her gracious attitude prompts us to want to come back.

Please convey our gratitude to these fine staff members.

Sincerely,

E. Sayre, Los Alamos, New Mexico”

The Residence Inn Albuquerque Airport was a proud sponsor of the REELZ Channel Luncheon, March 4, 2009. The hotel hosted a booth at the event held by the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Albuquerque.

The Luncheon was an opportunity for Stan Hubbard, Chairman and CEO of REELZ Channel and director of Hubbard Broadcasting Inc., to introduce his company to the business community on what Governor Richardson has formally declared as “Hubbard Family Day.”

REELZ Channel, the only cable/satellite network and website dedicated to everything about movies, will be moving their entire operation from Minneapolis and Los Angeles to Albuquerque. The network is owned by Hubbard Broadcasting Inc., a family business which currently owns and operates 13 television stations and four radio stations.

The company is expected to hire over 100 new employees between March and May, 2009.

The Residence Inn Albuquerque Airport held its official Grand Opening Thursday, February 12, 2009. The hotel, who opened its doors to the public two days before Christmas, partnered with the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce for the official ribbon cutting. To help host the event associates from other Lodging Host properties in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Marshall, Texas, La Porte, Texas and Bartlesville, Oklahoma, travelled to Albuquerque.

Guests of the hotel, local chamber members and business owners were treated to hors de’ oeuvres and given property tours, highlighting the hotel’s many amenities including their indoor pool and sport court. Certificates to any Lodging Host property and paintings, donated by the Oro Fine Art Gallery in Albuquerque, were given as door prizes. One lucky lady won a trip for two to New York and a Broadway play!

As one of the newest hotels in the Albuquerque area, the staff was proud to show off their beautiful property. The all-suite, extended stay hotel complete with granite vanities, fully equipped kitchens and complimentary breakfast along with Marriott’s So Memorable service is a great addition to New Mexico’s largest city.

With the opening of the Residence Inn at the Airport on December 23rd 2008 in Albuquerque NM, Lodging Host Hotel Corp has opened it’s first Marriott franchised product.  The hotel consists of 110 guest suites all of which have full cooking facilities.  Other amenities of the hotel include indoor pool, hot tub, exercise facility with equipment each with their own televisions, guest Market, guest laundry facilities, airport shuttle service, business center, meeting room to accommodate 40 persons and a Boardroom for 8 persons.

The hotel is a Generation 7.5 Residence Inn and incorporates the InnFusion Guestroom design of the new Generation 8 Residence Inn product.

Lodging Host Hotel Corp intends to develop 4 more Marriott products in the next 4 years and has executed franchises for a 75 room Fairfield Inn and Suites in Forney, Texas and a 110 suite Residence Inn in Longview Texas.  Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2009 on both of those hotels.

According to Kevin P. Hilchey, President of Lodging Host Hotel Corp “We will be developing other product as well during that time as the economy and lending environment allow.”
