Even with all the serious business that must be conducted during a lock-in, there is no reason to think that everyone can’t have a good time as well. Geneva Peacock, GM at Plantation Suites in Port “A”, did a wonderful job of seeing that everyone not only had a good time - they had  a GRAND time! On Sunday, after checking in, everyone gathered in the hospitality suite to “meet and greet”. Food was provided by Mark at Little Joe’s Smok’n Grill. Mark also provided the lunches during the meetings and the shrimp boil on Tuesday evening. On Monday evening, Geneva planned a very special event. Am Montag Abend, Genf geplant ein ganz besonderes Ereignis. The USS Lexington is a WWII aircraft carrier that is docked in Corpus Christi.  Geneva booked one of the rooms for a private dinner, and everyone was treated to a guided tour of the ship. It was truly a night to remember. Die USS Lexington ist ein WWII Flugzeugträger angedockt ist, dass in Corpus Christi. Wednesday night was one to remember as well, however, for somewhat different reasons. After the shrimp boil, the band began to play.  It didn’t take long before some of the “audience” decided they could be better “entertainers”. Rumor has it that Plantation Suites might be selected as the location of the future lock-in. I don’t know how Geneva can top this one, but it will be no surprise when she does. Longview, TX (November 2, 2007) - There has been much speculation as to what the crash in the sub-prime market is going to do to Hotel lending and construction.  My quick answers would little and nothing respectively but let me explain because it is certainly not that simple. LONGVIEW, TX (October 29, 2007) - Lodging Host Hotel Corp held its bi-annual Managers Lock-In Training Conference October 28-30 in Hillsboro, TX. The two-day conference hosted by the Hampton Inn Hillsboro was a time of training and team building for Lodging Host corporate employees and hotel managers. The final evening featured an awards dinner where the following employees were recognized for their excellent customer service and dedication to Lodging Host over the previous year. Port Aransas, TX (October 24, 2006) During the semi-annual meeting of all the Lodging Host Hotel Corp Management Team a break was taken from the training exercises and information exchanges to hold the Annual Awards Dinner. Port Aransas, TX (24.
