LIVINGSTON, TX (May 2005) – Lodging Host Hotel Corp officially announces it will open a new 56–room Hampton Inn Hometown in Livingston, TX. Ground broke on the hotel property location of 225 Southpoint Drive in Livingston last month. The new Hampton Inn is scheduled for completion in the winter of 2005/2006.

Long term Livingston residents Don Baskin, Cary Baskin and Ernie McClendon are partners with Lodging Host in the Development. The final partner is Bruce McClendon, brother to Ernie and a resident of the Woodlands. According to Cary Baskin, “The location houses all of the additional services needed to make a successful hotel site: a gas station, a number of restaurants with a wide selection of foods, retail outlets and even another hotel and has easy access on and off Highway 59 with out the congestion of the 190 Interchange.” According to Ernie McClendon “I think that we can even anticipate some addition retail development at this exit in the future.”
