Staybridge Suites Las Cruces NM hosts “Oktoberfest in May” for its ATAMIR German contingency.
The German contingency is working out at White Sands Missile Range in a two part training series.
The ATAMIR German contingency checked in April of 2008 and will be at the Staybridge Suites though mid-summer. they will return in October for the second portion of their training module.
In efforts to welcome this group, Staybridge Suites hosted “Oktoberfest in May” serving authentic German cuisine, German music and Staybridge Suites hospitality. We want to thank Steve Aragon for his assistance and Ingrid Caesar, Ulli Dunn and the White Sands Team for their participation in this event.

Staybridge Suites-Las Cruces New Mexico promotes and announces the new Director of Sales for the upcoming Residence Inn by Marriott-Albuquerque Airport.  Monica Lucier, former front desk manager at the Staybridge Suites has recently accepted the Director of Sales position in Albuquerque, NM.   Monica will be in Seabrook, TX (suburb of Houston) on a Task Force assignment, assisting in operations for the new Holiday Inn Express-Seabrook, before relocating to Albuquerque.  From all of your fellow team member, we wish Monica much luck and success in her new role.  Accepting the General Manager position at the Residence Inn-Albuquerque is Janet Glynn.  Janet is thrilled to have Monica has a member of the management team

From the sound of ringing phones, it is evident that folks are getting out their calendars, checking kids’ sports schedules, and calling to plan their summer vacations. Port Aransas has become one of the most popular vacation locations in the country, and everyone knows that reservations need to be made early.

Marble Falls, TX   Hampton Inn on the Lake:  has just completed a $250,000 renovation of its public and guest bathrooms.  General Manager, Pauline Ramirez of Lodging Host, the hotel management company, commented “The marble counter tops, wood vanities, new tile floors and new lighting fixtures give the bathrooms a wonderful spa-like feel.”  Guests give the bathrooms rave reviews.  The bathroom renovation is part of a continuing capital investment program begun in October of 2005 when Rocky Reese and Live Oak Lodging purchased the hotel.  At that time, all the public area furniture and much of the guestroom furniture was upgraded.  Last year, landscaping was improved along with a permanent pool canopy.  “Each off-season we try to upgrade our product to keep it fresh and the best value in the market,” Mr. Reese said.  So far, Live Oak Lodging has invested almost $500,000 in upgrading the Hampton Inn on the Lake.  Live Oak Lodging also owns and operates the 78- room boutique hotel, The Lighthouse Inn at Aransas Bayin Rockport. With the lake as a backdrop, Hampton Inn on the Lake is a relaxing way to spend a few days.  For more information or to make reservations log on to www.marblefallshotel.com  or call 830-798-1895.  

Sandfest, the annual Sand Sculptor contest, drew 100,000 visitors to the island. The professional sculptors began their masterful handiwork Friday morning, and judging was done Sunday. There were also amateur and children’s competitions as well as a learning mountain. And, of course, there were many craft and food booths to enjoy. It is one of the most popular events held in Port A, and, by all accounts, everyone had a wonderful time.

The Hampton Inn in Hillsboro, Texas celebrated their first year anniversary on April 18, 2008. ” We are very happy to be part of the Hillsboro community while injecting a  member of the Hilton Hotels family to the city.  We consider our first year to be very successful and look forward to a continued relationship with our treasured guests, the Hillsboro area, and the many friends we have made since the hotel opening.” Peggy Franklin, General Manager.

The Best Western Old Colony converts 10 of the double rooms to King Deluxe Rooms. We have answered the many requests of our guests wanting King size beds. We have gone above and beyond that request and added 32 inch flat panel televisions, all new furnishings and lighting, upgraded in-room guest amenities and bedding.

The remaining rooms will also be upgraded with new pillow top mattresses, new bedding to include duvets, new draperies and lighting.

The already highly rated breakfast buffet will also receive an international flair to accommodate our many travelers from abroad. This will include fresh deli meats, gourmet cheeses and breads, an oatmeal station with a variety of toppings, and more items to provide a healthier and fresher approach to starting your day.

Our complimentary 24 hour snack kitchen has become an overwhelmingly popular addition to our boutique hotel and will also see additional items that we will keep a secret for now. You will just have to come see us….because you would not believe it if I told you. 

Three floors have been painted and exterior stone walls are up. Opening date is still targeted for mid July.

The Hampton Inn in Livingston recently appointed Becky Schomer as the new General Manager, moving from the sales position.  Mike Deal has been appointed as the new Sales Manager, previously employed as the front desk manager. Becky has been with the Lodging Host family for eight years and Mike has been with the Lodging Host family for three years.
